So often in our modern day witchcraft we are left alone to learn and grow. While it is important to have a personal connection to your religion I believe it is also important to have a sense of community. Without this community many witches begin to feel estranged as if they are the only people of their faith in the world. This in turn will lead to many loosing sight of the way and ultimately leaving witchcraft behind. I also believe that it is important to grow alongside your peers, not just in solitude. While we are supposed to show our devotion by studying without a master for a year and a day it does not seem appropriate to me that fellow students of the craft cannot band together and inspire each other to learn more about our ancient art. I feel that greater connection with our peers will lead to a deeper understanding of the soul. Through this understanding we can begin to forge a more powerful tie to the soul of the Earth, the God and Goddess.
It is for this reason that I have started a blog. This will be an environment for people still learning. It is not to teach or to entertain, but instead it is to learn together with those that will discuss. I also hope that it will be encouraging for younger students to see my magickal journey by reading the articles. Most blogs for Wicca are either informational or for advice. This however is to learn together. So please respond, and tell me what you think of this. Tell me what you like about the craft, and tell me what you would like to explore in the craft.
Blessed Be.
